Processing trauma

through self-healing.

I will walk alongside you on your self-guided experience of discovering and exploring your true and authentic self through traditional talk therapy, experiential movement, and other creative techniques. Growing up in a small, rural town in Virginia, I never felt like I fit in or belonged. I experienced the trauma of substance use in the home as a child, sexual assault as a young adult, and a mass shooting at Virginia Tech as an undergraduate in college. With the unconditional love and guidance of other healers and teachers, I was able to move through my trauma and trust my body again. Trauma is now my specialty. I believe the mind-body connection is the key to getting unstuck and free in every area of your life. Your session with me will meet your specific needs and goals. We will also use groundbreaking and forward-thinking methods like EMDR, yoga, nature, and more to work through substance use, anxiety, depression, relationships, and trauma. I am a trauma-informed therapist who is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Energy Psychology, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Nutrition, Nature-based Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy. I am trained as a Yoga Teacher, Doula, and Perinatal Mental Health therapist to support clients and couples throughout their journeys with fertility, perinatal, and postpartum concerns. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, consultant, and supervisor.
